Breathing-muscle trainer · 6 resistance levels

Jorva™ 30-Breath Trainer

It’s not your lungs. It’s the muscle that fills them. Train it in 30 breaths a day.

  • Trains the muscle that pulls in every breath — not a “lung capacity” gimmick.
  • 30 breaths, once a day. About 5 minutes, sitting down.
  • 6 resistance levels, so it keeps getting harder as you get stronger.
  • No app, no batteries, no charging. Fits in a pocket.

Most people order two.

It’s a 5-minute habit, and habits stick when someone does them with you. Partners, parents and friends usually train together.

60-day money-back guarantee

The 30-Breath Program runs six weeks, so our guarantee runs longer than that. Use your trainer every day. If you don’t feel a difference, email us within 60 days of delivery and we’ll refund you in full — used or not.

How to use it

1. Set your level. Start on level 1. It should feel like work by breath 20, not a strain.

2. Take 30 strong breaths. Sit upright, seal your lips around the mouthpiece, breathe in hard and fully through the trainer, then breathe out slowly. Rest a few seconds whenever you need to.

3. Move up a level about once a week. When 30 breaths feel easy, turn the dial one step. That’s the whole program.

Who should check with a doctor first

Please don’t use the trainer without your doctor’s OK if you have ever had a collapsed lung (pneumothorax), a ruptured eardrum, recent chest, abdominal or eye surgery, or a heart or lung condition, or if you are pregnant.

Stop and rest if you feel dizzy or light-headed. And if breathlessness is new, sudden or getting worse, see a doctor — that needs a proper check, not a trainer.

What people actually say

Its kinda embarrassing to be out of breath from only going up one floor everytime at work.”

A Reddit user in r/CasualConversation. There are hundreds of posts like it, from people who assume it’s just age, or just their weight.

It isn’t just age. It’s a muscle nobody told you to train.

Every breath is pulled in by your diaphragm and the muscles between your ribs. Like any muscle you don’t train, they lose strength over the years — so stairs, hills and long conversations cost more effort than they used to.

Why you get winded

You train your legs. Nobody told you to train this.

Inspiratory muscle training — breathing in against resistance — is the method physiotherapists and researchers use to strengthen breathing muscles. Jorva puts it in your pocket.

  • 20,000+

    Breaths a day

Each one is pulled in by the same few muscles. Most of us have never trained them once.

  • 30

    Breaths to train them

Resistance on the in-breath makes those muscles work, the way a weight works your legs.

    The program

Six levels, one step up about every week. Most research on this kind of training runs six to eight weeks.

How it works

Two parts. No app, no batteries.

Smart breathing trainers charge you for sensors and subscriptions. What trains the muscle is resistance and consistency.

THE DIAL

Resistance right where you breathe in

Turn the dial and the airway narrows, so your diaphragm has to pull harder on every in-breath. That extra effort is the training.

6-step adjustable resistance valve

THE MOUTHPIECE

Soft enough for every morning

Food-grade silicone that seals comfortably without clenching, and rinses clean under warm water after your 30 breaths.

The 30-Breath Program

Six weeks. Five minutes a day.

Every trainer comes with the program guide. It’s simple on purpose — the only hard part is doing it every day.

Weeks 1–2
Level 1–2 · 30 breaths a day Learn the technique. Breath 20 should feel like work, not strain.
Weeks 3–4
Level 3–4 · 30 breaths a day Most people notice breathing in feels less effortful around here.
Weeks 5–6
Level 5–6 · 30 breaths a day Keep the habit. Stairs are the easiest place to notice the change.
After week 6
Stay on your level, 30 breaths most days Like any muscle, strength fades if you stop completely.
When
Any time — most people pair it with morning coffee
How long
About 5 minutes Sitting down. No workout clothes.

Individual results vary with age, fitness and consistency. Not a medical device.

How it compares

The training, without the $299 price tag.

Walking and cardio are great. But they train your heart and legs first, and they’re hard to do when stairs are the problem.

What the research looked at

Not a trend. A training method with decades of studies.

Breathing-muscle training has been studied in athletes, older adults and rehab patients for years. Here’s the short version, with the sources named.

Older adults
Stronger breathing muscles, better functional capacity Systematic review and meta-analysis of inspiratory muscle training in older adults (2021).
Midlife adults
30 breaths a day, 6 weeks, studied at CU Boulder Researchers also measured blood pressure and vascular health (J Am Heart Assoc, 2021).
Everyday breathlessness
About 1 in 5 adults report it Global meta-analysis of breathlessness in the general population.

Studies used laboratory-calibrated trainers under supervision. Findings describe the research, not a promise of your results. Jorva is not a medical device.

Questions

The things people ask before ordering.

If yours isn’t here, write to us. A real person answers.

Isn’t being out of breath just part of getting older?

Partly — and part of that is muscle. The muscles that pull air in lose strength with age like any other muscle, and like any other muscle they respond to training. If your breathlessness is new, sudden or getting worse, though, see a doctor first.

Does it increase my lung capacity?

We won’t claim that. The size of your lungs doesn’t change much. What training changes is the strength of the muscles that fill them — which is why breathing in can start to feel easier.

When will I notice anything?

Give it the full six weeks. Some people notice breathing in feels less effortful in the first two to three weeks; for others it takes longer. Doing your 30 breaths daily matters more than the level you’re on.

Is it hard to use?

No. Sit down, set the dial, take 30 strong breaths in through the trainer. Level 1 is gentle. If you feel dizzy, stop and rest — that usually means you’re going too fast, not too hard.

Can two people share one trainer?

We don’t recommend sharing a mouthpiece. That’s why most people order the 2-pack — and it’s a lot easier to keep a daily habit with someone else.

Is it safe for me?

For most healthy adults, yes. Check with your doctor first if you’ve ever had a collapsed lung, a ruptured eardrum, recent surgery, a heart or lung condition, or if you’re pregnant.

What if it isn’t for me?
